CFEgroup is an on-line continuing education management system for forestry professionals and forest landowners. From the site, you can access high-quality continuing education courses. A key feature of CFEgroup is the account management system which allows the user to track and submit CEUs for multiple professional organizations by registering and creating an account on the system. CFEgroup has courses developed around four topic areas including Forest Management, Aboriculture, Urban Forestry Management, and the Urban-Wildland Interface.

CFEgroup was developed by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service unit of the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management at Texas A&M University with initial funding provided by the USDA Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service through funds from the Renewable Resources Extension Act. Additional funding was provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service National Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council.

The Department of Ecosystem Science and Management Cooperative Extension Unit consists of forestry, urban forestry, and range specialists across Texas. Forestry specialists develop and present programs in the areas of traditional forestry, urban forestry, and woody biomass. Many of their programs serve as the basic course material for CFEgroup.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service manages public lands in national forests and grasslands. The Forest Service is also the largest forestry research organization in the world, and provides technical and financial assistance to state and private forestry agencies. The National Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council is an organization that supports education, projects, and groups related to urban and community forestry. The council seeks to establish sustainable urban forests for all communities.
